Making Your Blue Skies Bluer

image

If you want a richer, deeper blue for your sky, try this: On Lightroom’s All Photos screen, tap on the photo you want to edit, then in the row of edit icons at the bottom of the screen, tap on Color (its icon looks like a thermometer). A panel of controls will appear below your image, and at first, it looks like it’s just White Balance controls (which you can already adjust in the Photos app), but if you look in the top-right corner of this panel, you’ll see “Mix” with a color wheel icon. Tap that icon to be taken to the Hue/Saturation/Luminance controls (HSL, for short). Tap the Blue circular icon near the top of the panel, then drag the Luminance slider to the left, and as you do, your sky becomes bluer and richer. It works wonders.
