Next Steps

In this chapter, you learned what game juice is and how you can juice your game by adding tweaks to its audio and visual effects. You started by playing incidental sound effects using actions. Then you quickly skilled up and built a more robust sound system using the SKAudioNode and AVFoundation classes to play background music and ambient sound. You also dipped a toe into the power of the SKEffectNode class and the SpriteKit Particle System to squeeze a little more juice out of your game.

For now, you’ll take a break from Gloop Drop as you work through the next part of the book, where you’ll level up your spectacular SpriteKit skills and build your first scene with the SpriteKit Scene Editor.
