Plugin authors will frequently update their plugins to fix bugs, add compatibility for WordPress updates, or add additional features. When updates are available for a plugin a number will appear next to Plugins in the WordPress sidebar.
To update plugins:
Visit the Updates page by hovering over Dashboard in the left sidebar and click on the Updates button.
Click on the checkbox next to the plugin to be updated.
Click on the Update Plugins button.
Tip
It is possible to update all plugins at once by clicking on the Select All checkbox, however updating plugins one at a time can aid in troubleshooting plugin related issues.
