LinkedIn offers a variety of tools and applications that you can add to your profile to tell more of your story. For example, you can show off samples from your portfolio, share your Twitter and blog updates via LinkedIn, announce events, and more. It’s unlikely that you’ll use every tool and application available to you. However this chapter introduces those that enhance your profile, so you can pick the ones that will help you meet your goals.
You can always remove a tool or app from your LinkedIn profile, and most are free—or at least offer free trials—so you can test them out. Always keep your LinkedIn goals in mind and leverage applications and tools that can help you achieve the success you want and need.
