1. Demo vertical slices to managers/sponsors/customers as often as possible. If you have a product that is only demonstrable instead of releasable, demo vertical slices and help these people see where the product is headed.
2. Show feature-based completion in some way. Remember that customers buy features.
3. Show the effects of multitasking or other impediments for the team. Your team might not have multitasking problems. Show the team’s specific problems with at least qualitative data. If that’s not enough, show that the cycle time increases as a result of whatever problems your team has.
