Premium Job Seeker Accounts

All Basic LinkedIn account holders can view and apply for jobs listed on LinkedIn Jobs or company Career Pages. Basic account holders can also get introduced to up to five companies they’re targeting per month.

However, if you’re really serious about using LinkedIn to find a job, you might want to consider upgrading to a premium Job Seeker account. There are three types of premium Job Seeker accounts with a tiered pricing structure and features: Job Seeker Basic, Job Seeker, and Job Seeker Plus.

Job Seeker Basic: For $19.95 per month (or $15.95 per month if you pay for a full year up front), you can get a Job Seeker Basic account. In addition to the features you get with your free Basic account, you can do the following:

• Display a Job Seeker Badge on your LinkedIn profile, so recruiters notice you.

• Get detailed salary information for job postings that provide it.

• Move to the top of the list of applicants as a “Featured Applicant.”

• See everyone who has viewed your profile.

• Join the “Job Seeking on LinkedIn” web-based seminar.

• Get introduced to 10 (outstanding) companies that you’re targeting in addition to the 5 introductions per month you get with your Basic account.

• Allow recruiters to send you messages for free using OpenLink.

• Get priority customer service.

To be a featured applicant, make sure you check the Featured Applicant box at the bottom of the job application page. Also, be sure to turn on the Job Seeker Premium badge from your account Settings page or it won’t display next to your name in your LinkedIn profile.

Job Seeker: For $29.95 per month (or $24.95 per month if you pay for a full year up front), you can get the features provided in the Basic and Job Seeker Basic accounts as well as the following additions or modifications:

• Contact up to five people using InMail with a guaranteed response or your InMail count doesn’t go down.

• Get introduced to 15 (outstanding) companies that you’re targeting in addition to the 5 introductions per month you get with your Basic account.

Job Seeker Plus: For $49.95 per month (or $39.95 per month if you pay for a full year up front), you can get all the features of a Basic, Job Seeker Basic, and Job Seeker account as well as the following additions or modifications:

• Contact up to 10 people using InMail with a guaranteed response or your InMail count doesn’t go down.

• Get introduced to 25 (outstanding) companies that you’re targeting in addition to the 5 introductions per month you get with your Basic account.

These accounts are not cheap, but if you’re relying on LinkedIn to help you advance your career and land your next job, then they might be worth considering.
