Software as a service (SaaS) provides you with a hosted product that is run and managed by a service provider. With a SaaS offering, you do not have to think about the infrastructure or even the tech stack of the service; you just need to know how to use it. An example of a SaaS application is web-based email where you can send and receive emails without having to install/manage an email server of your own.
