Regional Options lets you set date, time, number, and currency options for any number of countries and language groups. For example, if you're preparing documents for colleagues in Sweden, choose Swedish from the drop-down list on the General tab. Now Excel's "Currency" formatting option uses kronor, and the date and time stamps on your files in list-view folder windows appear in the European format.

Likewise, the Input Locales tab offers another place to specify keyboard layouts (see Section 8.12.1.2).
