In this recipe, we looked at the Embedding blocks for YouTube and Facebook. However, WordPress provides embedding blocks for 33 external services with a wide range of functionality. You can view all the available embedding services at https://wordpress.org/support/article/embeds/.

The preview of embeds and functionality differs from one service to another. We can see a full preview of content for some services while no preview for some services. In this scenario, we got a complete video preview inside the editor for YouTube videos. However, the Facebook post only displays the link in preview with a message called Embedded content from facebook.com can't be previewed in the editor. Also, some of the unsupported URLs may not work within the embedding block. For example, private Facebook posts or private YouTube videos can't be embedded using blocks.

We can use these embedding blocks effectively to quickly add content from external services and organize them inside the editor.
