First, we select one of the existing user roles. The plugin will load the capabilities for the selected user role from the wp_user_roles key value in the wp_options table. The plugin also lists all the registered capabilities in the site through WordPress core, as well as custom plugins. Next, we select additional capabilities for user roles or remove existing capabilities by using the checkboxes in line with each capability.
The plugin categorizes capabilities into different sections and displays these on the left-hand side of the screen. We can use the links to only filter the capabilities for specific sections such as Posts, Users, General, Themes, and Plugins. In this case, we used the Posts link to filter capabilities related to posts.
Once we click the Update button, the unchecked capabilities will be removed from the wp_user_roles key value in the wp_options table, and new capabilities will be added. So, users with the selected user role will instantly have access to or lose access to features on the site.
