The Completeness Bar

As you create your LinkedIn profile, you’ll notice a Completeness Bar located on the right side of your screen, as shown in Figure 3.3. Your goal should be to reach 100 percent profile completeness.

A 100 percent complete LinkedIn profile includes the following:

• Photo

• Executive summary

• Specialties skill set

• Education

• Three recent positions

• Three recommendations from your connections

You can provide all of the information to create a 100 percent complete LinkedIn profile except for three recommendations. However, you can send recommendation requests to your connections to reach 100 percent completeness. Recommendations are discussed in full detail in Chapter 8.
