Portfolio Display

If you’re a designer, artist, or photographer, then the Creative Portfolio Display app is perfect for you to bring your story to life on your LinkedIn profile. However, the app can work for anyone who has samples or documents that they want to display on their profiles. Don’t be afraid to get creative with how you use this app.

To add the app to your profile, click the More link in the top navigation bar when you’re logged in to your LinkedIn profile and select the Get More Applications link from the drop-down menu. Scroll through the list of available apps, and click on the Creative Portfolio Display listing, which brings you to the page shown in Figure 10.6.

Figure 10.6: Scroll through the Creative Portfolio Display Application Preview images to see creative ways the app is used.

Simply click the Add Application button (lower-right corner of Figure 10.6) to add the app to your LinkedIn profile. Make sure the check box that says Display on My Profile is selected, so your portfolio is visible to people who view your LinkedIn profile.

You’ll be prompted to upload your portfolio to the Behance Network (behance.com), which is a site that enables people to create online multimedia portfolios that can be displayed on Behance partner sites like LinkedIn. You can upload as many multimedia projects to the Behance Network as you want and pick and choose the ones you want to show on your LinkedIn profile via the Creative Portfolio Display app.

By showing off your portfolio of work, you can demonstrate your skills, attract new customers, and land a new job. You never know who might see your portfolio on LinkedIn, so use the Creative Portfolio Display app to show what you can do.
