To create dashboards, you can either use the Clipper menu from the lens, or you can use the Create menu and choose the predefined templates. Refer to the following screenshot:
Let's follow these steps to get a simple dashboard:
- Choose one of the dashboard templates. In our case, let's select Blank Dashboard in the Wave Dashboard Designer.
- Click on the clipper on the lens created; this will automatically prompt you to Clip to Designer, and it will add the lens to the dashboard pane:
- From the Wave Designer, drag the chart and then drag the lens from the right. The following screenshot shows the options for bringing the lens and charts, and configuring widget labels:
- Drag the list element from the left pane and clip a lens that is grouped by city. You can use the WIDGET settings on the right and clean the dashboard. The following screenshot shows our final interactive dashboard that has a list for selection, and based on the selected elements, the dashboard is interactive:
Once a dashboard is built, users can share the dashboard via Chatter or a link, or they can even download it as a .png file.
