Choosing a Reporting Strategy

We've looked at the potential solutions for implementing reporting in Silverlight, and which option is the most appropriate will depend on the nature of your project. In the remainder of this chapter, we will look at the two most common scenarios:

• Using Silverlight's printing features
• Generating a PDF report on the server using a reporting tool/engine and displaying it on the client, where it can be printed using the Adobe Reader plug-in's printing capabilities
