Hour 19. Photoshop Plug-Ins and Add-Ons
What You'll Learn in This Hour:
By now, you have seen, if not used, most of the dozens of filters that came with your copy of Photoshop. There couldn't possibly be any more, could there? Well, Photoshop is kind of like those fashion dolls or action figures that kids of a certain age demand. You can't just buy Harry Potter and Hermione. You need the Hogwarts School, the Quidditch field, and Barbie's Dream House, yacht, and sport utility vehicle. After you see how much fun you can have with the basic filters, you'll want Eye Candy, Splat!, KPT (Kai's Power Tools), the Andromeda filters, and at least several dozen of the latest shareware filters, too. And the list goes on—I only wish I had time and pages enough to cover them all.
You've probably also considered buying a graphics tablet and more RAM for your computer. (You can never have too much.) Maybe you also need a faster computer to make all these tools work a little more efficiently. Of course, none of these plug-ins or add-ons is absolutely necessary, but for the next hour, let's pretend we're kids in a candy store. We'll sample everything possible.
