This tab allows us to configure sales-related settings for the product and pricing. We can configure the following settings in this tab:
Setting | Description |
Select whether products should be created in the active state | This option allows us to configure whether products will be created in the active or draft state. |
Set whether the default pricelist for an opportunity should be selected via an inbuilt rule | If this option is enabled, the pricelist defined in the territory is selected automatically in the opportunity record. |
Set maximum number of products in a bundle | We can set the maximum number of products that we want to include in the product bundle. |
Customize close opportunity form | If this option is enabled, we can customize the close opportunity form and add a custom field there. |
Make price lists optional | If this option is enabled, the user can add a line item to sales entities such as opportunity, quote, order, and invoice without adding a price list. |
Qualify lead experience | If this option is enabled, Account, Contact, and Opportunity records are created after lead qualification; but if this option is disabled, it will ask the user to select which entity record they want to create after the lead is qualified. |
Set pricing calculation preference | We can use this option to configure whether we want to use a custom pricing calculation on the sales entity using a plugin or whether we want to use a default pricing calculation from the system. |
Set whether a discount is applied as a line item or per unit | We can use this option for the discount. We can apply it based on the line item or per unit. |
Set maximum number of properties allowed for a product or bundle | We can use this option to provide the maximum number of properties a product can have. |
All the preceding settings help us to manage our sales products. These settings are useful for customers using Dynamics 365 CE product catalog features.
