A considerable investment has been made by Microsoft into the native search capabilities within the tool, and new features and functionalities have positioned SharePoint’s Search as a robust and comprehensive search application for organizations of all sizes.
To further cement Microsoft’s credentials in the field of search technologies, Microsoft has added a new search engine known as FAST Search for SharePoint 2010.
