Facebook Group Pages

In This Chapter

Creating a Group page

Choosing between Fan and Group pages

Determining who gets into your group

Moderating group discussion

Controlling the flow of information

If Fan pages (see Chapter 7) are the come-one, come-all gathering spots, then Group pages are the exclusive, velvet-rope clubs. The biggest benefit of a Group page is that you can tailor each visitor’s experience more than you can with a Fan page. The biggest challenge is successfully using that control to benefit both your customer and your brand.

In this chapter, we talk about starting a group, determining its parameters, and curating the experience once you get it up and running. With this knowledge under your belt, you’ll be able to determine what kind of Facebook page—Fan page or Group page—is best for your business.
