What Is a Facebook Marketing Expert?
Many people use the terms social media marketing expert or Facebook marketing consultant on their resumés and CVs. It’s not only individual consultants who do this but also businesses that are hoping to cash in on the social media buzz.
I’m sure there are many ways to define a Facebook marketing expert. Here is how we define one:
• Has built Facebook pages and groups
• Can explain the benefits of teasing an audience before showing them the real content on a Facebook page
• Knows how to identify a customer’s persona and use it when communicating with fans and potential fans
• Has run extensive Facebook advertising campaigns for multiple clients and not only has generated thousands of Likes, but also has achieved a positive financial return on investment
• Has multiple references who can testify to the quality of their work
Just because someone calls herself a social media expert doesn’t mean that she is one. Social media is not a stand-alone skill set. It also requires a thorough understanding of traditional and internet marketing.
