A note on Microsoft Dynamics Marketing

Although Microsoft Dynamics Marketing (MDM) has been discontinued by Microsoft as a standalone product, it did have several features that were quite useful from a Microsoft perspective. MDM was quite easy to configure and connectors were available to integrate the records with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The following screenshot shows how information was synced between MDM and Dynamics CRM:

It provided the capability to launch campaigns across different channels, such as social media, SMS, and emails. When the activities were distributed across to people using these channels, it also provided several triggers to monitor the activities done by the contact, such as opening the email, responding to the email, and opening the link provided in the email.
