Solution options

The solution options are as follow:

  • In the event of an application failure, the organization will be able to failover to a standby site until the primary is back online. The recoverability for the organisation can be planned with backup sites and contingency roadmasp.
  • The ability to rollback to a previous state in the event of a major catastrophe or a natural calamity.
  • Ability to restore high volume data in the occurrence of corruption or loss. In many organisations, it is vital to be able to roll back to the time just before the incident to avoid painstaking work to recapture the data between the last known good backup and the time of the incident.
  • Organisations like to recover beyond the point of the incident.
  • Design a store and forward or cached mechanism that allows requests to be stored when the target is offline, and sent when its online.
  • Establish ways to identify failures and automatically start the failover process, or route traffic to a spare node.
  • Design the solution that uses alternative systems when it detects a number of failed requests to a system.
  • Design alternatives to handle non-reliable external systems failed communications and failed transactions.
  • Ability to DR must not be compromised by the storage being in the same place as the primary systems.
