A new feature in Excel 2010, the Glow And Soft Edges command, lets you add glitz to your chart markers:

To explore this feature, right-click a chart series, choose Format Data Series, and then click the Glow And Soft Edges category in the Format Data Series dialog box. In the same dialog box, you’ll find some other interesting formatting features under the headings Shadow and 3-D Format. After you apply any of these decorative options, you can restore your chart to sobriety by means of the Draft Mode command, at the right edge of the Design tab. With this command, you can toggle back and forth between a simple ink-saving presentation and one styled to impress.
