Fill in the gumballs using a variety of colored pencils, leaving a small highlight in most of the circles to show the reflective surface. Use lighter pressure where the gumballs are seen through the rounded corners of the glass. Add shadowed areas of the machine’s base with reddish brown.

Create the lighter sides of the machine’s base with red. Leave an area of white on the corner to suggest the shiny metal surface.

Using light and medium shades of cool gray, create the chrome on the machine, adding accents with touches of true blue. Leave some areas of the paper white to show the shiny surface. To finish, add black to several areas of the machine, including the top part of the glass.
