About the Authors

 

Colin Gilbert (CKG) is a freelance writer, tutor, and photographer. He received his BA in Philosophy from the University of San Diego. In his spare time, Colin enjoys pondering the big questions with his lovely wife, Elizabeth.

 

Dylan Gilbert (DDG) is a writer, musician, teacher, and art aficionado based in Los Angeles, California. He graduated Cum Laude from The College of William and Mary with a BA in English Literature.

 

A lifelong lover of the arts, Elizabeth T. Gilbert (ETG) has spent years as a writer, editor, and in-house artist for Walter Foster Publishing. She holds a BA in English from the University of San Diego and makes her home in southern California with her beloved husband, Colin.

 

Gabriel Guzman (GRG) is a displaced American who lives and works in Montreal, Quebec. Computer programmer by day and martial artist by night, he is a photographer and freelance writer in whatever time is left in the day. He enjoys art in all its forms and is constantly on the lookout for what’s new and exciting.

 

Rebecca J. Razo (RJR) has been a writer/editor for more than a decade; she has an English degree from California State University, Long Beach, and has completed postgraduate studies in 20th-century British literature. Sharon B. Robinson (SBR) holds an MA in Art History from California State University, Long Beach. When she’s not working in the curatorial and registrar departments at the Orange County Museum of Art, she can be found scouring the streets of Los Angeles for art and music. She currently resides in Long Beach, California, with her husband, poet and musician Glenn Bach.

 

Amy Runyen (ARR) is a fine artist, an illustrator, an art and art history teacher, and an author. She earned her MFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University Long Beach and her BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. (www.amyrunyen.com)

 

David J. Schmidt (DJS), holder of a BA in Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University, has written for publications in the US and Mexico regarding a number of topics. He has been to 20 different countries, speaks 5 languages fluently, and is able to fake about a dozen others—a talent that helped him immensely in contacting some of the artists for this book. Schmidt is always fascinated by the diverse and unique ways in which human beings express themselves.
