Exercise 22
PINEAPPLE WITH ED TADEM
Draw an oval for the pineapple and two curved guidelines for the leaves. Then draw a criss-cross pattern that curves around the form of the pineapple.
Draw the leaves, making them smaller and more condensed at the base and wider and longer at the top.
Using the gridlines as a guide, create the diamond shapes. Round off the edges to give the shapes form and makes them appear three-dimensional.
Now add spikes to each diamond shape, pointing each one upward.
Shade with lines that follow the forms, emphasizing the grooves between the shapes and keeping the left side of the pineapple darker.
