Fill in the irises with reddish brown and apply it around the eyes, nose, mouth, and cheeks. Add dark gray to the nose, using heavier pressure for the outlines. Darken and outline the eyes with dark umber.

Lay in the highlights on the puppy’s head with a light, cool gray, stroking in the direction of the hair growth.

Now ceate the dark areas of fur with a dark, warm gray. Use the same color to darken areas around the eyes and fill in the nostrils.

Fill in the rest of the fur, adding teal in areas for color and shine. Add a light glaze of orange-red to parts of the face. Use dark gray to darken areas of the dog, especially the nose, muzzle, and ears. Work reddish brown over the fur for more color.
