472 Creating a Blog and Podcast
Adding the Podcast to iTunes
If you’d like to get a much larger audience, then the best place to put your
podcast is in the iTunes store. This way it can be easily found by all of the visi-
tors to the store.
1 Select the MommyCast audio page in the sidebar, then select the Blog &
Podcast inspector and click Podcast to see the Inspector window’s podcast
settings options.
The Podcast pane of the Blog & Podcast inspector offers two sections. One
is for the entire the Podcast Series, and the other is for the current entry
called the Podcast Episode.
2 In the Podcast Series section of the Inspector window, in the Series Artist
field, provide the name of the author or artist responsible for the series,
and then provide a contact email address in the Contact Email field.
NOTE
The email address is not made public, but it is used by Apple’s
iTunes Store staff so they can contact you about your series.

3 Make sure the Allow Podcast in iTunes Store checkbox is selected.
You can also optionally indicate whether the series should have a Clean
or Explicit label when it’s listed among the Store’s offerings by making a
choice from the Parental Advisory pop-up menu.
4 Select the Entries page in the sidebar and choose the entry MommyCast –
Episode 357.
5 The information in the Podcast Episode area of the Inspector window is
filled in automatically.
6 Choose File > Submit Podcast to iTunes.
iWeb requests some additional information about the podcast.
7 Enter the following information for your podcast:
MommyCast is a family-friendly weekly talk show for and by women. Hosts
Paige and Gretchen talk about parenting and the never-ending issues that
come with motherhood. This is real talk by real moms. But MommyCast is
not just for moms! Dads love MommyCast, too.
