One of the greatest pleasures of being a musician is performing with a
band on stage in front of a huge crowd of screaming fans. That might
not be a reality for everyone, but playing along with GarageBand’s virtual
musicians is a great way to practice, create music quickly, play and record
original riffs, or just jam along and enjoy the process (screaming fans
optional). Magic GarageBand Jam puts you at center stage as the leader of
a virtual band and offers nine different genres of music to choose from.
Whether you’re a professional musician, or have just finished your
Learn to Play lessons, Magic GarageBand Jam offers a flexible perfor-
mance experience to take your musical skills to the next level.
The next series of exercises will lead you through a hands-on tour of
Magic GarageBand Jam. Along the way you’ll choose a genre, audition
musicians, select your own instrument, record a simple part, and finally
open and save the finished song in GarageBand.
