432 Publishing a Website
Building a Photos Page
You’ve already explored the web-publishing options offered by iPhoto. Although
these are great ways to share your photos, iWeb offers its own useful Photos
page that will match your site’s other pages in style and navigation.
An iWeb Photos page can be seamlessly added to your site, and you never have
to leave iWeb. As you’ve already seen, you can access your entire iPhoto library
right from the Media Browser.
In this exercise, you’ll make a Photos page to show your best pictures from
your trip to the Kingdom of Bhutan. These are the same photos you used to
make a book in Lesson 4.
1 Click the Add Page button at the bottom left of the iWeb window.
The New Page sheet appears, showing the available page templates from
the last theme you used.
2 Select the Photos template and then click Choose.
A new Photos page opens in the webpage canvas, and a Photos page
appears in the sidebar. Notice also that the Photos page appears in the
navigation menu along with the site’s other pages.
3 In the sidebar, double-click the name of the new page and rename it
Photo Journal. The new name appears in the navigation menu.
4 Using the same techniques you learned when you were building
the homepage, customize the page title to read PHOTOS FROM
BHUTAN 2009.
