490 Making a DVD
In the next exercise, you’ll change the project’s theme temporarily. You
should always save your project before you make major changes to it. In
fact, you should develop the habit of saving your project regularly.
Switching Themes
When you created your project with Magic iDVD, you chose the theme for the
DVD. This choice was not irrevocable: In this exercise, you’ll see how to change
themes—and then change them back.
1 If the Themes collection isn’t showing in the right pane of the iDVD
window, click the Themes button in the window’s lower right.
2 Choose 7.0 Themes from the pop-up menu at the top of the pane, then
scroll down the pane and click the Center Stage theme family.
A sheet appears telling you what happens when you switch a project’s
theme family: The theme for all menus in the project will change. If you
like, you can click the disclosure triangle at the sheet’s lower left to read
additional information.
3 Click OK.
iDVD changes the theme of the menu shown in the window; it also
changes the theme of any submenus in the project. As a result, the menu
buttons and text label move and change appearance.
