278 Hollywood, Here I Come: Creating Visual Effects
4 Press the spacebar to play. While it’s playing, move your pointer over the
different effects.
The video will keep looping until you click one of the effects to apply it.
5 Click Vignette.
This adds a subtle darkening to the four corners of the image and helps
give more depth to the shot.
Adding a Single-Point Map
In Lesson 5, you used the Map feature to show a travel line from the North
Pole to Atlanta. In this project, you’ll add a map but with only one point.
1 Click the Show Maps and Backgrounds Browser button or press
Command-5.
2 Drag the Educational Map into the project, putting it after the still image
and before the first clip.
3 In the Map inspector, click the Start Location button (currently reads
“San Francisco”).
4 In the Choose City or Airport field, type Bhutan.
5 Choose the first item in the list (Bhutan) and click OK.
6 Instead of choosing an End Location, just click Done.
7 Play or skim over the map to see the results of your work.
