64 Reviewing and Improving Your Photos
contains some hidden photos, iPhoto lets you know about it with a mes-
sage button in the upper right of the viewing area.
4 Click the hidden photo message.
The photo reappears, and the text of the message button changes. Notice
that the photo has a bright orange X to indicate that, although you can see
it, it is still “hidden.”
Unhiding Photos
If you can hide photos, it stands to reason that you can unhide them. Here’s how:
1 Click the hidden photo that you’ve made visible.
The Hide button on the toolbar changes.
2 Click Unhide.
The hidden photo marker goes away, and the Unhide button again
becomes a Hide button.
Throwing Photos Away
If you really don’t want the photo hanging around anymore, hidden or not,
you can discard it. Here’s one way to do that:
1 Drag the photo to the Trash in the Source list.
2 When the Trash is framed by a line, release the mouse button.
Another way to put a photo in the Trash is to select the photo in
the viewing area and press Delete.
