LCS Project | Asset library | Data packages

Once the data packages are downloaded from your initial configuration environment and the data is finalized, you can upload these data packages to your LCS project library. As shown in the following screenshot, the LCS asset library can be used as a repository for the data packages:

The following are the key features of data packages in the LCS asset library:

  • Upload new data packages: You can use the + button to create new data packages and upload the data package file.
  • Save it in your shared asset library: Similar to the other asset types in LCS, you can save the data package as a shared asset. A shared asset can be imported into other projects within your organization.
  • Import: Using the import option in the Asset library project, you can import the assets shared with you. While importing the assets, you can see all the data project assets shared within your organization or shared by Microsoft. To get the shared data package, simply select the data package and click on the Pick button to import the data package to your project asset library.
  • Maintain version: You can use the LCS asset library to manage the different versions of the asset file. You can also see the previous versions and pick a previous version to import it back if needed.
