The business process modeler

In LCS, you can use the business process modeler to create, view, and modify the business-process libraries and flowcharts for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition. The business process modeler helps you align your Finance and Operations processes with industry-standard processes, as described by American Productivity and Quality Center (APQC). There are more than a thousand business processes that are available, and you can tweak them as per your needs. As referenced in the earlier chapters, the business process modeler can be used right from the Gap/Fit analysis phase of the project to track all customizations, add visio process diagram, task recording, Word documents, or external links.

BPM library makes training easier in the following ways:

  • Linking one or more BPM libraries in the LCS to your Finance and Operations environment
  • Central repository for business and system process documentation
  • Business process documentation and links can be attached to BPM libraries that are available in the Help page
  • Associate task recording and guides with business processes that are available on the help page.
  • Convert BPM process flows to Microsoft Word documents and for use as printed training material
