Configuration and data manager lets you copy a configuration from one instance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition to another.

You can copy from and to Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition environments that meet the following criteria:

• They are managed as part of an LCS project
• They run on the data management framework in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition and can leverage data packages (containing entities)
• You can also create groups of data packages called Process Data Packages (PDP) and use them for all kinds of deployment to any environment in the LCS project being worked upon. Refer Chapter 6, Configuration and Data Management for more details.
