Microsoft and its partners are continually developing tools, utilities, and other items that make it possible for Office to work better, run more effectively, and just do more things. Many such items are available as free downloads from the Microsoft Office Online Web site. Your search can yield some pretty interesting items related to just about any Office product, including trial versions of many of Microsoft’s programs.
In Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, click the Office button, and click the program’s Options button on the menu. In the Options dialog box, click the Resources category, and, in the Go To Microsoft Office Online section, click the Go Online button to open the Microsoft Office Online Web page.
Click a download. If you don’t see the download you want, either click a category to browse for downloads, or enter the name of the download in the Search box and click Search.
Review the information about the download and the instructions for downloading and installing the item.
If you receive a warning in the Information bar, click the bar, and select the action you want to take. In most cases at these Microsoft sites, the warning asks you to install the ActiveX control required for the download.
