Tasks

You may have noticed on the Web that one of the calendars Google Calendar displays is a Task calendar, as shown on the left. This calendar shows a simple task list that allows you to create collections of tasks, set due dates, add notes, and check off items as they’re completed.

However, this feature is not supported in the Calendar app on your tablet, yet. That doesn’t mean you can’t use the feature, however. If you use Google Calendar from the Web, you can create a bookmark to go specifically to the tasks at http://gmail/tasks. My preferred option is to go with third-party apps for this. I use Dato GTasks (https://market.android.com/details?id=org.dayup.gtask), which offers a free trial or a $3.99 paid app that syncs with Google Tasks. You could also use a separate task-management tool, such as Astrid Todo. Both apps are compatible with Pure Calendar Widgets.
