Using Your Tablet As the Remote

YouTube Leanback is a personalized display designed for large screens like computers hooked up to TVs or large monitors. You can access this service at www.youtube.com/leanback. If you’re using this service, you can use the YouTube Remote app to control your experience. You can also download remote apps that control Boxee, Roku, Dish, GoogleTV, and other connected devices. Most of these apps use the Internet to control your devices, instead of relying on Bluetooth or infrared signals.

Your tablet can serve as both your remote and your schedule. The TV Listings app (on the left) will give you a location-based list of shows both over the air and through cable. It won’t let you view any of the shows, but it’s a great tool to use if you still watch most of your shows on a TV.
