Managing and Editing Your Pictures

The Microsoft Office Picture Manager is a program you can use to organize all your pictures, edit them, and then share them with family, friends, or coworkers.

Work with Your Pictures

  1. Start Microsoft Office Picture Manager from the Office Tools folder of the Windows Start menu.

  2. Click one of the picture shortcuts to view the pictures in that folder.

  3. Use the commands in the Getting Started task pane to add picture shortcuts; to search your computer for pictures; or to edit, rename, or distribute your pictures.

  4. Double-click a picture to see an enlarged version of it, and press the Left or the Right arrow key (or use the Previous or Next button at the bottom of the window) to view other pictures in that folder.

  5. If the color and/or the brightness of the picture aren’t quite right, click the AutoCorrect button.

  6. If the AutoCorrect feature doesn’t work or if you need to make other adjustments, click the Edit Pictures button, and use the tools in the Edit Pictures pane to adjust the brightness, contrast, color, rotation, and size; to remove "red eye"; or to crop the picture.

  7. Choose Save or Save As from the File menu to save your edits of the picture.

  8. To change the view of the picture or pictures, choose Thumbnails or Filmstrip from the View menu.
