Virtual Simulations

Many games allow you to own a virtual business, care for a virtual pet, or grow food on a virtual farm. They use a combination of skill, strategy, and luck; and many people find them quite addictive. G5 Entertainment has a whole series of games along this line, including the example in Figure 26–7, Stand O’Food, which lets you open a series of virtual restaurants.

Serving customers requires tapping the correct sequence of food items, and you make decisions about what supplies to purchase between each mini-game. The game grows increasingly complex in each round, but separating play into mini-games means you can start and stop whenever it’s convenient.
