SQL Server Backend Disaster Recovery
Providing disaster recovery to the SQL backend services in Lync Server 2013 does not require admin intervention. Data that is stored in the SQL Server database will instead be replicated through the Lync pool pairing functionality, and imported to the secondary site SQL database.
SQL mirroring should be deployed only in a single site, and should not be considered for cross-site configurations to provide some level of disaster recovery.
