Lync Server 2013 allows users to collaborate in real time during conferences by sharing whiteboards and polls. Virtual whiteboard functionality was introduced in Lync Server 2010 and is one of the most commonly used collaboration features in Lync Server. Whiteboards allow users in a Lync conference to collaborate in real time on drawings, pictures, tables, and more. Polling functionality is often used in web conferences to collect participant feedback. Many presenters utilize this functionality to either understand the audience they have in front of them, or collect feedback after a presentation. The polling functionality in Lync Server 2013 allows presenters to collect feedback that can be kept private, or shared with the audience. Additionally, the results of the polls can be exported by the presenter.
