Network Considerations for a Hybrid Deployment

The network planning steps needed for a cloud-only deployment, as described in the “Planning the Network for Lync Online” section of this chapter, are also applicable to a Lync hybrid deployment. This includes bandwidth planning, as well as planning for firewall port and DNS requirements. However, with a hybrid deployment there are several additional firewall port requirements, as well as additional DNS requirements, depending on the configuration, as detailed in the following sections.
