Exchange Unified Messaging
Exchange Unified Messaging is usually required in a Lync deployment to provide Unified Messaging voice mail and attendant functionality for Lync 2013 users. In Exchange 2010 SP1 and Exchange 2013, Unified Messaging can be virtualized. Detailed virtualization requirements are beyond the scope of this chapter; please see the Exchange documentation for detailed requirements.
