Lync Mediation Server High-Availability
Lync Mediation Servers provide connectivity to the PSTN and legacy telephony systems. Mediation Servers can also be configured as a pool in Topology Builder. Mediation Server pools are load balanced using DNS load balancing for inbound calls, and for outbound calls Lync Server dynamically routes calls to maintain an even load across servers.
