Speakerphones become more and more important as “huddle rooms” take the place of classic conference rooms. These devices are great for impromptu meetings or group conversations in locations without a dedicated conferencing device.
The Plantronics Calisto 825, shown in Figure 33.4, in particular has a remote microphone, making it perfect for leading meetings in an auditorium or from across the room from the device.
For pure room-filling power and sleek design, the Jabra Speak 510 can’t be beat! It transports in a form-fitting neoprene case and sounds better than most dedicated conference room phones. The Speak 510, shown in Figure 33.5 also has a USB chip enabling it to act as a speakerphone for mobile phones.
