Lync Online Subscription Plans

Lync Online offers three separate plans and pricing tiers, with each successive plan offering additional Lync services. The lowest tier is Plan 1, which is the least expensive and offers the following basic set of Lync features:

• User authentication

• IM and Presence

• Online meeting attendance

• PC-to-PC audio and video calling

• Federation with other organizations that use Lync

The next tier is Plan 2, which offers all the features included with Plan 1, and adds the following:

• Initiation of online meetings with up to 250 attendees, both ad hoc and scheduled

• Initiation of multiparty audio/video sessions

• File transfer using the Lync client

• Content sharing within online presentations (screen sharing, whiteboard, PowerPoint upload)

• Interoperability with certified partners for dial-in audio conferencing

• Client-side API support

The third tier is Plan 3, which offers all the features of the first two plans and adds the following:

• PSTN dialing through interoperability with partners that provide calling services

• Interoperability with Exchange Online voice mail (also requires an Exchange Online plan that includes voice mail)

• User call controls (call transfer, simultaneous ring, and so on)


Note

Each Lync Online subscription plan includes the rights to Lync Server Client Access Licenses with the plan. Plan 1 includes a Lync Standard CAL for each user, Plan 2 includes the Enterprise CAL, and Plan 3 includes the Enterprise and Plus CAL.
