16 Music Mixing

In this chapter, I will set up a complex music mix from the ground up to demonstrate many of the flexible mixing and routing features of Nuendo. This mixing example will incorporate the use of external hardware such as compressors and equalizers along with analog summing comparable to the Folcrom or Dangerous Music hardware.

Modern music mixing uses a combination of traditional hardware and techniques blended with the latest digital tools to create a hybrid environment offering a diverse set of possibilities. Nuendo’s feature set complements this arrangement, dovetailing with the need for both analog and digital processing.
