Brainstorming is the methodology whereby a group of people meet in a room and discuss a problem statement to find the solution of the same. In general, you can call this an idea generation discussion, where each stakeholder gives the idea as per his/her understanding and skills.

Brainstorming as a topic is a big one, but I want to keep my focus on how it can be used for Qlik Sense project requirement gathering.

Brainstorming sessions are good to start with for requirement gathering, because they involve senior management and head of departments, who can participate in the discussion where everyone can discuss the high-level strategy for BI along with the final deliverables. All individuals can add value to the process by giving their feedback as per their domains of expertise.

As a consultant, you can drive this session by starting a small Qlik Sense demo(some good demos are available on demo.qlik.com), and showcasing the functionality and data discovery abilities of Qlik Sense. This will help the group of people to visualize the requirements, which can further help them to enhance their business operations using data discovery.

Once everyone sees the capability of Qlik Sense, they will automatically start giving ideas about what can be developed in Qlik Sense and define the success criteria of the project.
