An operating system is required to be installed on the server. Qlik technology is built to work on Microsoft operating systems only, thus, the operating system should be the Microsoft operating system.

You can choose any OS or the one recommended in the minimum software requirement document for the Qlik Sense version you are planning to install.

If your project involves multiple developers who are going to need simultaneous access to the Qlik Sense server, then you may also require Windows terminal licenses. By default, the server allows two logins, but if you need more, you will have to buy terminal licenses from Microsoft.
